Make products with national pride
Generally speaking, electronic components include resistors, capacitors, transistors, etc. In industrial production, electronic components are widely used in electronic products such as computers, communication, and instruments. When it comes to the electronic components industry, Chen Ying is focused and patient.
In 1997, Chen Ying came from Sichuan to Dongguan, Guangdong to work, starting her career at an electronic components manufacturing enterprise In 2000, she founded Houjie Huaying Electronic Trading Department, focusing on the sales of electronic components. In 2005, she transformed and upgraded original department into Dongguan Qingyuan Electronics Co., Ltd. After moving between Houjie, Humen, and Shatian, she chose to develop in Wanjiang in 202, further expanding into the R&D and manufacturing of electronic components while maintaining her sales business. Chen Ying recalled that during her entrepreneurial period, she had contact with many domestic and found a significant gap between domestic and foreign manufactured products. Moreover, in the market environment at that time, the vast majority of customers would choose foreign products. "I thought myself, can we further optimize domestic electronic components to achieve substitution for foreign products and make some products that bring a sense of national pride?"
However, in the early stages of starting a business, developing electronic components that could replace foreign products was no easy task. First of all, at that time, was a certain gap between domestic electronic component production technology and product quality compared to international standards. In addition, Chen Ying also had to face multiple challenges such as funding, talent, and. Therefore, back then, although she had "grand ambitions," she was still unable to fully realize them due to limited resources.
Successfully developed domestic alternative products
After nine years of deep cultivation in the industry, Qingyuan Electronics has grown in scale, and its capabilities in R&D and manufacturing of electronic components have been enhanced. In 2014, Chen Ying picked up the initial goal of the startup again, embarking on the R&D of high-quality electronic components comparable to, even surpassing in some aspects, foreign products.
However, original product research and development is not easy. During the R&D process, Chen Ying and her team faced immense challenges They not only needed to break through technical bottlenecks but also had to continuously experiment, improve, and optimize to ensure the quality and reliability of the final products. In addition, practical issues as financial pressure and talent shortages could not be ignored. What was particularly tricky was that even if the products were successfully developed, their market promotion also faced numerous difficulties due to the relatively low and trust of domestic products among customers. "Later, through communication with customers, we gave them the developed products for free to use. After obtaining feedback, we then carried out improvements and optimizations," Chen Ying stated. After several iterations, a customer compared their five substitute products with similar American products. The results showed that the performance of three of them was superior to the American products, while the other two were slightly inferior. But overall, the level of the domestically produced substitute products independently developed and manufactured by Qingyuan Electronics was on par with standards. Upon learning of this achievement, Chen Ying and her team were greatly encouraged. In 2016, Qingyuan Electronics participated in the "Dream Building Dong, Win-Win Good Projects - High-Quality Project Roadshow Competition" with its "Domestic Substitute Electronic Components Project". In the competition, relying on her deep understanding of the project full confidence, she delivered the entire speech fluently, eventually standing out, defeating two other listed companies, and winning the gold award
After winning the award, the domestically produced electronic components of Qingyuan Electronics received widespread market attention. An increasing number of customers have begun choosing Qingyuan Electronics' products, them to have high cost-performance and reliability. Among them, "surface-mount wirewound power resistors" and "ultra-precision metal film resistors" were included in the "angdong Provincial Enterprise Advantageous Enterprise Technology and Product Recommendation Catalog (2022)". Chen Ying also received the honorary title of "Outstanding Science and Technology Worker of Wanjiang Subdistrict in 2020.
Facing the complex and severe international situation and downward economic pressure, Chen Ying, this outstanding "female leader", has also drawn a new blueprint for this high- enterprise that is running rapidly on the global electronic components track.
